Superintendent 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 in Dickinson to support project planning, field execution, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, and project closeout. This entry-level superintendent role offers a progression path to Superintendent 2.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, materials, equipment, and site operations.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, reports, logs, drawings, and project documentation.
• Lead daily, trade, progress, and project review meetings.
• Promote an injury-free work environment, investigate incidents, and support safety training.
• Monitor quality, self-perform work, labor productivity, costs, and schedule impacts from project changes.
• Support procurement, staffing, buyout, change negotiation, punch activities, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 year of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, scheduling, project management and accounting software, MS Office, layout, crane flagging, rigging, and Lean practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively, present information, collaborate with project stakeholders, and work non-traditional hours when needed.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
