Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring a Superintendent in Fargo to lead field operations and coordinate project teams, trade contractors, and suppliers. The role oversees project execution in partnership with the Project Manager and maintains a strong safety culture.

Project Details

Assignments generally involve projects valued below $75 million, or designated portions of larger, complex projects. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct site work, schedules, budgets, productivity, quality, inspections, and trade coordination.
• Develop and enforce site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project staff.
• Support preconstruction, constructability reviews, project scheduling, procurement, and closeout planning.
• Maintain project records, drawings, schedules, cost controls, and reporting.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 6 or more years of relevant experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
• Construction management software proficiency, including tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated safety leadership and compliance experience.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements. Forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; must be able to perform physically active work in varied climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600-$172,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
