Superintendent - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent to coordinate field teams and oversee construction activities on data center projects, with level and compensation aligned to experience.

Project Details

The position supports data center construction and may involve travel to project locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, materials, equipment, inspections, and project schedules.
• Review construction documents, coordinate design plans, and manage site logistics and progress tracking.
• Lead and develop team members, supervise project partners, and support hiring and performance management.
• Oversee site safety, quality, risk, and compliance while identifying improvements.

Required Experience

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Superintendent I requires at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II requires at least 8 years.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to manage complex projects from development through closeout; intermediate Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of construction law and business practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Superintendent I base pay is $111,400-$167,100 per year; Superintendent II base pay is $130,100-$195,200 per year. Pay varies with experience and location, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan.
