Superintendent I and II - Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent I or II to coordinate field operations, supervise project teams and trade partners, and support strong customer relationships. Assignments are in the North Carolina region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, inspections, schedules, and site logistics.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability, coordinating plans with design engineers.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members and project partners; conduct orientations and site meetings.
• Monitor work progress, safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and identify process improvements.

Required Experience

• Superintendent I: at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II: at least 8 years.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to manage multiple complex projects from development through closeout.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and effective communication and customer-service skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400-$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100-$195,200 for Superintendent II; actual compensation depends on experience and location. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
