Superintendent I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Superintendent I and II candidates to coordinate field operations, supervise project teams and craft activities, and maintain strong customer relationships. Candidates may qualify for either level based on their background.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, schedules, site logistics, and construction documents.
• Lead and develop team members, oversee project partners, and manage field progress.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance while identifying improvements.

Required Experience

• Superintendent I: at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II: at least 8 years.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related construction or engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver’s license, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to manage complex projects from development through closeout and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400–$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100–$195,200 for Superintendent II, with adjustments for certain office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
