Superintendent I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Superintendent I and II candidates to coordinate and supervise field teams, contractors, and craft activities while delivering strong customer service. The role level and compensation depend on experience, qualifications, and location.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, schedules, and site logistics.
• Review construction and contract documents, coordinate with design engineers, and collaborate with project partners.
• Lead, coach, train, and manage team members and project partners.
• Monitor work progress, safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and identify improvements.

Required Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Superintendent I requires at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II requires at least 8 years.
• Current driver’s license and ability to manage multiple complex projects through closeout.
• Knowledge of construction law and business practices, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and effective communication and customer service abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400–$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100–$195,200 for Superintendent II, with higher ranges in certain listed locations. The position is eligible for an incentive plan.
