Superintendent I/II - Commercial (Power Delivery)

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent I or II for its Power Delivery group to coordinate field operations, supervise construction teams and subcontractors, and support strong customer relationships.

Project Details

The role supports commercial construction and power delivery projects. Candidates must be able to fulfill development-through-closeout responsibilities on multiple complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, schedules, logistics, and construction plans.
• Review project documents for completeness and constructability, and coordinate with design engineers.
• Lead subcontractors, project partners, planning sessions, and site meetings.
• Track work progress and task coding, train team members, and coach and manage performance.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance while identifying and addressing unfavorable conditions.
• Build effective working relationships and pursue process improvements.

Required Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10+ years of trade experience.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience and commercial construction experience.
• Superintendent I requires at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II requires at least 8 years.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple project tasks, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and strong communication and customer service abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400-$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100-$195,200 for Superintendent II, with adjustments for certain office locations. The role is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
