Superintendent II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent II to coordinate and lead field teams, contractors, and trade work while supporting strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan field resources, inspections, logistics, and equipment use to meet project schedules.
• Review construction documents, coordinate design details, and manage project and look-ahead schedules.
• Lead site orientations and meetings; oversee contractors, foremen, and craft crews.
• Coach and develop team members, monitor labor and productivity, and manage performance.
• Oversee project safety, quality, risk, and compliance, addressing site conditions and process improvements.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of construction management or related experience.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant construction or engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of construction law and business practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $130,100-$195,200, with higher ranges for certain specified office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, 401(k) match, paid time off, insurance, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and other programs, subject to eligibility.
