Superintendent II (Heavy Civil)

Job Summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Heavy Civil Superintendent II to oversee construction operations and supervise other superintendents in La Mirada, California.

Project Details

Provide field leadership for heavy civil construction at a project site or business unit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field construction to meet design, budget, schedule, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate site operations, scheduling, engineering, materials, contractors, and field teams.
• Support project work plans and procedures, and recruit, mentor, and develop field staff.
• Promote a safe work environment and help ensure compliance with company and environmental standards.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of supervisory or equivalent construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, equipment, company procedures, and union jurisdictions and labor agreements.
• Caltrans project experience and familiarity with its specifications and contract requirements are preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, and management skills; valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range of $116,677-$175,018. Benefits include paid leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, spending accounts, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match for eligible salaried employees.
