Superintendent - Retail - Traveling

Job Summary

Ryan Companies is hiring a traveling Superintendent based in Austin to lead retail construction work. The role requires at least 10 years of construction experience and post-high-school construction education or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractor performance, project budgets, safety programs, and quality control.
• Develop and track CPM schedules, coordinate material procurement, and incorporate deliveries into the master schedule.
• Review design documents and shop drawings, and apply value-engineering throughout projects.
• Train personnel, resolve field challenges, and coordinate with project team members.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience and post-high-school construction education or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• Knowledge of BIM or CAD and current building codes is preferred.
• Experience with MS Project scheduling and familiarity with the construction market, especially senior living and hospitality, are valued.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
