Job Summary

Tutor Perini O&G is hiring a steel-focused Superintendent to lead steel construction activities for its Newark AirTrain project at Newark International Airport.

Project Details

The assignment is part of an airport AirTrain infrastructure project in Newark, New Jersey, involving structural and miscellaneous steel work.

Responsibilities

• Direct steel erection activities, crew productivity, equipment use, and field safety.
• Coordinate steel deliveries and installation with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and design partners.
• Plan steel work schedules and verify completed work against drawings, specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Resolve field conflicts and maintain progress reports, inspection records, and schedule documentation.

Required Experience

• At least 7 years of civil or structural construction experience focused on steel erection.
• Prior superintendent or foreman experience on steel-intensive work.
• Knowledge of structural steel systems, drawings, welding and bolting standards, AISC standards, erection sequencing, and rigging.
• Ability to interpret structural and shop drawings and coordinate steel with concrete and other trades.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; NCCER or another steel erection certification is a plus.
• Construction management software and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $175,000-$250,000, depending on experience.
