Traveling Aviation Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Aviation Senior Superintendent to lead complex aviation construction projects through planning, execution, and closeout. The role reports to the company’s National Aviation Vertical and offers a career path toward General Superintendent.

Project Details

This position supports aviation construction work managed through JE Dunn’s national aviation practice, with responsibility for stand-alone projects or major portions of larger programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage project execution, sequencing, workflow, staffing, subcontractors, suppliers, and site operations.
• Lead safety, quality, schedule, cost tracking, logistics, procurement, and project documentation activities.
• Coordinate daily field meetings, trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and project reviews.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules with project management, and manage changes, risks, closeout, and pre-punch activities.
• Lead multiple superintendents and influence project results through field teams.
• Support pursuits, client relationships, recruiting, training, and future business development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Advanced communication, presentation, construction means-and-methods, trade, self-perform, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging skills.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting systems, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Lean construction experience is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required, along with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
