Traveling Electrical Superintendent Oil, Gas, & Chemical (OGC)

Job Summary

Kiewit Energy District is seeking a Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution for oil, gas, chemical, refining, petrochemical, biofuel, and other process-industry projects. This senior field leadership role oversees craft supervision, work planning, scheduling, cost control, quality, and coordination with project stakeholders.

Project Details

Kiewit Energy U.S. delivers engineering, procurement, and construction services across the OGC market. Teams relocate to project sites throughout the United States based on available work and individual development needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Foremen, General Foremen, journeymen, laborers, and other field personnel.
• Coordinate work methods, assignments, schedules, drawings, specifications, safety, and workmanship.
• Mentor Junior Superintendents and support performance management and advancement decisions.
• Lead subcontractor and field-management meetings, client coordination, issue resolution, and change-order negotiations.
• Monitor job costs, cash-flow projections, contract administration, project completion, and turnover.
• Maintain project records and promote effective relationships among clients, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and site staff.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience, including 5 or more years in a superintendent or field-leadership capacity.
• Oil, gas, and chemical construction experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, safety, planning, negotiation, communication, organizational, and contract-administration skills.
• Ability to work independently, resolve field issues, learn company procedures and software, meet deadlines, and work overtime or weekends when needed.
• Regular attendance and willingness to work at varying project locations and conditions are required.
