Traveling Equipment Superintendent - Kiewit Equipment Services

Job Summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking a Traveling Equipment Superintendent to lead equipment maintenance, utilization, and readiness activities supporting construction projects. The initial assignment may be based in Salt Lake City, Utah, or New Albany, Ohio.

Project Details

The role supports Kiewit's diverse equipment fleet and power-market construction operations, with assignments determined by available work and team development needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field equipment maintenance and readiness activities for project requirements.
• Monitor equipment costs, utilization, and maintenance records through company data systems.
• Prepare equipment recap reports for senior management.
• Promote safe, quality project execution and coordinate work with project personnel.
• Train, coach, develop, and retain direct and indirect reports while supporting team cohesion.
• Perform additional supervisory and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or equivalent construction-related experience.
• At least five years of experience in a mechanical-related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety requirements, engineering practices, construction methods, and basic computer systems.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel, relocate as assignments change, and work overtime or weekends when required.
• Ability to work safely in office and project-field environments and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $110,000-$120,000 per year. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
