Job Summary
JE Dunn Construction — ranked #2 by ENR for Correctional Facilities Construction — is seeking a Traveling Senior Project Manager to lead complex courthouse and corrections facility projects across the United States. This role carries full ownership of project outcomes and requires a willingness to travel and/or relocate to project sites.

Projects span JE Dunn's growing Justice portfolio and include courthouses and correctional facilities of significant scale and complexity, delivered in multiple markets throughout the country.
Responsibilities
- Own overall project direction, profitability, administration, and outcomes for large and/or multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead safety culture on all assigned projects and mentor team members on injury-free practices.
- Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, scope development, bid package preparation, and GMP development.
- Manage buyout schedule, subcontract issuance, gap analysis, and ongoing subcontractor risk review.
- Oversee submittal schedule, shop drawing review, change order negotiation, and owner/architect approvals.
- Prepare and maintain project schedule using Lean principles; track labor, materials, and procurement to keep projects on track.
- Conduct monthly project reviews, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and progress meetings.
- Manage monthly cost and margin forecasting, pay applications, and budget variance reporting.
- Lead project closeout including punch lists, financial reconciliation, warranties, and subcontract close-out.
- Collaborate with marketing on presentations and support business development activities.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of construction management experience.
- Demonstrated success on large or complex Justice/Corrections projects strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Proficiency in MS Office, CMiC or similar project management/accounting software, scheduling software, and BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of Lean construction principles and project financial management.
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
- Must be willing to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours as project needs demand.
