TSCD Manager - Kiewit Power Constructors

Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a TSCD Manager to direct the planning, engineering, procurement, installation, and removal of temporary structures and construction devices supporting power project execution. This onsite role leads technical coordination across engineering, construction, safety, procurement, subcontractors, and project management teams.

Project Details

The role supports power-sector EPC and startup work, including gas-fired and coal-fired generation, coal retrofits, and renewable energy projects. Temporary works may include scaffolding, access systems, lifting devices, work platforms, formwork, shoring, falsework, crane supports, temporary foundations, and weather protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works planning and execution from early project development through demobilization.
• Create project-specific strategies, procedures, and implementation plans.
• Supervise TSCD engineers, coordinators, designers, field leaders, and subcontractors.
• Review temporary works designs and coordinate requirements with construction sequencing and milestones.
• Oversee erection, inspection, maintenance, modification, and removal activities.
• Promote safety, investigate related incidents, establish corrective actions, and manage quality controls for fabrication and installation.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of construction, engineering, or temporary works experience on major industrial, infrastructure, power, energy, or EPC projects.
• Demonstrated leadership of temporary structures and construction support systems.
• Knowledge of structural design, load calculations, construction methods, risk mitigation, OSHA requirements, and temporary works standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across project functions.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and availability for overtime and weekends as project needs require.
