Job Summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is seeking a Lineman Foreman to supervise high-voltage cable and power distribution construction crews. This craft leadership role is responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant field execution.

Project Details

The work involves installing and repairing cables and wires for electrical power and distribution systems, including potential work on poles and transmission towers in industrial construction settings.

Responsibilities

  • Direct crew activities, coordinate with other crafts, and provide on-the-job training.
  • Plan daily and weekly work, establish crew goals, and coordinate tools, materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Lead pre-job planning, toolbox meetings, lockout/tagout compliance, and other safety processes.
  • Review timecards, collect quantity reports, and monitor progress against project schedules and unit rates.
  • Inspect work for compliance with plans, specifications, codes, quality requirements, and industry standards.
  • Report incidents and near misses, support investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Verify equipment inspections, maintenance, safe operation, and crew performance.

Required Experience

  • Journeyman Lineman experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial construction involving high-voltage cables.
  • Strong knowledge of installing and repairing electrical power and distribution cables or wires.
  • Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, perform basic mathematical calculations, and supply all required lineman tools.
  • Preferred or listed credentials include NCCER Power Line Work, NCCER Power Generation Maintenance Electrician, State Electrical License, NCCER Rigger, NCCER Fundamentals of Crew Leadership, NCCER Project Supervision, and NCCER Project Management.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to complete applicable onboarding screenings.

Compensation and Benefits
