Aptitude Project Engineer 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude team is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support construction management and field execution activities in Minneapolis. This role offers a progression path toward Senior Project Engineer or Superintendent 1.

Responsibilities

• Support site operations, safety planning, quality activities, field documentation, and project administration.
• Assist with estimates, change management, schedules, daily logs, reports, procurement tracking, and project closeout.
• Coordinate punch lists, inspections, subcontractor scopes, meetings, shop drawings, deliveries, and project communications.
• Help plan crew activities, monitor labor, materials, equipment, and productivity, and provide updates to project leadership.
• Use CMiC, Microsoft Office, construction technology, and company processes to support project execution.
• Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, tradespeople, and internal support teams while applying Lean practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform work, labor productivity, project technology, and Lean processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varied field conditions, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.

Compensation and Benefits

The professional non-union position offers a base salary of $77,000-$115,000, depending on experience, with potential for a target performance bonus. The role may involve travel or relocation and requires flexibility for non-traditional project hours.
