Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Five Star Electric is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for its Ozone Park office. The role supports electrical construction projects and reports to the Project Executive.

Responsibilities

• Help manage project schedules, records, budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and change orders.
• Coordinate procurement, deliveries, suppliers, subcontractors, field teams, and project stakeholders.
• Review electrical plans and specifications, track RFIs and submittals, and maintain project files.
• Participate in project and site meetings, support safety compliance, and help resolve field issues.

Required Experience

• A bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Three or more years of construction coordination or electrical contracting experience is preferred; electrical contractor internship or field experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, drawing interpretation, project documentation, and the construction project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, or similar tools is preferred or beneficial.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $75,000-$95,000, depending on experience.
