Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support field operations, safety, scheduling, quality, and trade coordination alongside the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Project Details

Assignments generally involve projects under $5 million or a defined component of a larger, complex project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate jobsite work, trade contractors, materials, equipment, schedules, budgets, and quality control.
• Promote safe work practices, support site-specific safety plans, lead or attend safety meetings, and address hazards.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, project scheduling, and closeout preparation.
• Maintain productive relationships with owners, design teams, trade contractors, and suppliers.
• Support business development and client relationships through marketing and industry participation.

Required Experience

• Construction-related degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and at least 7 years of directly related experience.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, P6, Excel, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Knowledge of plans, specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated safety leadership.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety training.
• Forklift certification preferred; ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $75,000-$120,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
