Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring an Assistant Superintendent in Colorado Springs to support field operations and work with the Superintendent and Project Manager on safety, schedule, quality, and trade coordination.

Project Details

Assignments generally involve projects valued below $5 million or a component of a larger, complex project. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site construction work, trade contractors, suppliers, materials, and equipment.
• Support project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, quality control, and closeout.
• Help develop and monitor site-specific safety plans, hold or attend safety meetings, and address hazards.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimates, and schedule development.
• Maintain productive relationships with owners, design teams, trade partners, and clients.

Required Experience

• Construction-related degree and at least two years of related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and at least seven years of directly related experience.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, P6, Excel, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• OSHA 30 and company safety requirements, or ability to become current.
• Forklift certification preferred. Must be able to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual pay is $78,000-$124,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
