Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Christman Southeast Constructors is hiring an Assistant Superintendent for its Greensboro, North Carolina region. The role supports field operations and may include independently overseeing a small project or assisting with closeout on a larger project.

Responsibilities

• Develop look-ahead schedules and collaborate with the project team on master schedule updates.
• Support jobsite safety across trades, conduct safety audits, and supervise hourly field crews.
• Coordinate materials for safety and self-performed work, and ensure field timesheets are accurate and timely.
• Prepare daily reports and verify installations against contract documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Support quality assurance and participate in subcontractor and owner/architect/contractor meetings.
• Help resolve conflicts in accordance with contract requirements and maintain project information in required systems.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction or related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, and BIM; strong knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
• A relevant bachelor's degree and two years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time position. Extended hours and nights may apply. Travel is primarily local, with some long-distance and overnight travel depending on the project.
