Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Support field leadership for assigned construction projects, helping coordinate daily operations, maintain safe and orderly jobsites, and deliver work to schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work sequencing, materials, subcontractors, vendors, site logistics, and project inspections.
• Promote and enforce safety, quality, housekeeping, and punch-list standards.
• Support schedule and scope changes, track daily progress and logs, and coordinate subcontractor work plans.
• Guide junior staff and collaborate with clients, inspectors, project teams, and trade partners.
• Monitor project documentation, permitting, hoisting, vertical transportation, and quality closeout.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically four years of relevant construction field or office experience as a Specialist or Project Engineer.
• Construction materials, methods, drawings, specifications, and work sequencing knowledge.
• Ability to prepare detailed daily reports and short-interval schedules; familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Smartsheet, and Procore.
• OSHA 30 certification or a Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification, such as STSC or CHST. CPR and First Aid/CPR/AED training is required; training may be provided.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range is $132,350-$145,600, based on individual skills and experience.
