Field Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

The Beck Group is seeking a Field Assistant Superintendent to support safe, coordinated construction execution and learn from project management and field supervision teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work sequences with subcontractors and vendors, and help maintain project schedules.
• Interpret plans and specifications, support layout and field engineering, and prepare daily reports.
• Work with project engineers on RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and record drawings.
• Monitor workmanship and enforce company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Support and motivate field crews, collaborate with the project team, and develop familiarity with Lean construction practices and Bluebeam.

Required Experience

• Zero to three years of relevant construction experience and a relevant college degree, or relevant field foreman or field engineer experience.
• Basic safety awareness, supervisory experience, ability to maintain daily reports, and fundamental knowledge of construction documents.
• Commercial construction internship experience is preferred. Familiarity with Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, Revit, or similar tools is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors, move around uneven jobsite surfaces, climb ladders and stairs, and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
