General Superintendent

Job Summary

TPZP, a Tutor Perini joint venture, is hiring a General Superintendent to oversee field execution on California’s high-speed rail project in Fresno.

Project Details

Construction Package 1 covers a 32-mile segment in the Central Valley, with work including grade separations, viaducts, a tunnel, track and utility relocations, trenches, and a San Joaquin River crossing.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline superintendents overseeing earthworks and structures, keeping work aligned with safety, design, budget, and schedule.
• Plan and coordinate site operations, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and schedule execution.
• Interpret drawings, advise on construction methods and equipment, and support project scheduling, logistics, and procedures.
• Support the site safety plan and coordinate with owner representatives.

Required Experience

• 15 or more years of construction experience, including at least 10 years as a heavy civil superintendent.
• Superintendent experience on projects valued over $200 million and on bridge, highway, or transit work.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction practices, contract management, and local trades or craft.
• Experience with public-sector clients preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, or similar software.
• OSHA certification and First Aid certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $240,000–$290,000, depending on experience.
