Harriman Pipe Superintendent

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Pipe Superintendent to lead field execution for an industrial conventional generation project in Harriman, Tennessee. This project-only, full-time role requires mobilization to the site for the duration of the work.

Project Details

The superintendent will oversee pipe-related construction activities on a conventional generation project, coordinating direct-hire crews, subcontractors, field engineering, and other discipline superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Direct field supervision and monitor construction work for safety, quality, schedule, productivity, cost, and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate foremen, general foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, field engineers, and the Construction Manager.
• Develop three-week look-ahead schedules, corrective action plans, work plans, and job hazard analyses.
• Track installed quantities, punch-list completion, timesheets, progress payments, daily logs, and schedule performance.
• Administer work packages and equipment installation while resolving drawing, technical, labor, and execution issues.
• Support subcontract administration, change and commercial recovery activities, safety programs, training, and continuous improvement.
• Provide work direction and performance management for assigned direct-hire and subcontractor personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
• Pipe superintendent experience on conventional generation projects is strongly preferred.
• Union or union-management experience, including knowledge of local agreements and jurisdictional issues, is strongly preferred.
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work safely in confined and uneven areas, climb industrial structures and scaffolds, and perform physical work in varying weather conditions.
