Healthcare Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Healthcare Superintendent to lead field operations and coordinate the project team, trade contractors, owner, and design team.

Project Details

Healthcare construction projects are generally valued below $75 million, with occasional assignments covering designated scopes on larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-site construction, trade coordination, schedules, budgets, productivity, and quality.
• Maintain project drawings and records, coordinate materials and equipment, and oversee inspections and project closeout.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Build effective working relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, scheduling, and pursuit of future work.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 6 or more years of related experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent with 10 or more years of related experience.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Demonstrated ability to advance safety initiatives and manage complex projects and competing priorities.
• Current OSHA 30 or ability to obtain it; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual pay is $87,000–$167,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
