Project Engineer

Job Summary

Support the Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, and project staff with technical and day-to-day project management work on an Ames Construction project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project staff, owners, design partners, subcontractors, and crews.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and schedules; process RFIs and maintain project records.
• Support project layout, quality, safety, environmental programs, procurement, materials, billing, cash flow, and change orders.
• Help resolve field issues, maintain as-built documents, and attend or lead meetings.

Required Experience

• At least two years of construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with project control software, Microsoft applications, Outlook, and Primavera.
• Valid driver’s license and strong communication, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.

Project Details

The initial project is located in Hyrum, Utah. Future assignments may be at project sites or regional offices nationwide. Work takes place in a construction-site environment and involves physical activity and exposure to high noise levels.
