Project Engineer

Job Summary

Catamount Constructors is hiring a Project Engineer to support project coordination, contract administration, purchasing, and communication with owners and subcontractors. The company is a 100% employee-owned general contractor with work across several markets.

Project Details

Catamount’s portfolio includes distribution centers, medical facilities, housing, restaurants, and fire stations.

Responsibilities

• Track contract requirements, project updates, logs, and changes throughout construction.
• Support purchasing and buyout decisions, and assist the Superintendent with schedule updates.
• Coordinate owner, architect, and contractor meetings, including agendas and minutes.
• Prepare owner pay applications and review subcontractor invoices and change orders.
• Maintain subcontractor communication and help address scope, contract compliance, and performance issues.

Required Experience

• People and project management capabilities, strong organization, communication, reasoning, and negotiation skills.
• General contractor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Procore experience or ability to learn the platform.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is $70,000-$80,000. Additional incentives may include merit/performance, project, new-hire referral, and business development commissions.
