Project/Field Engineer

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring a Project/Field Engineer in Colorado Springs to support project managers and superintendents with field coordination, project controls, and subcontractor communication.

Project Details

AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets. This role may require travel to project sites more than 70 miles away.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans and specifications, review shop drawings, and help coordinate subcontractor agreements.
• Track field requests, changes, materials, time sheets, costs, budgets, cash flow, and project schedules; prepare reports and recommend solutions to project issues.
• Support estimating, bid packages, change orders, punch lists, progress meetings, and client and subcontractor communications.
• Help implement site safety and quality programs and maintain trade contractor and supplier records.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to read building plans and specifications and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• Current or ability to obtain OSHA 10 and meet company safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills; able to manage multiple priorities and work in varied climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $64,000-$96,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
