Project Engineer

Job Summary

Rudolph & Sletten is hiring a Project Engineer in Menlo Park to support project managers and superintendents with construction planning, coordination, documentation, and field execution.

The company delivers large projects across California, including research, healthcare, education, civic, and high-tech facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings, site observations, deliveries, subcontractors, and design and construction activities.
• Review drawings, submittals, and shop drawings; identify conflicts and manage RFIs and potential change orders.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, close-out records, punch lists, and as-built drawings.
• Support quantity takeoffs, value engineering, job walks, status reporting, and construction problem-solving.
• Use Procore to generate queries and reports and communicate with project teams and stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in construction or a related area.
• Proficiency with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, plus working knowledge of blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of Procore or similar construction software is a plus; scheduling and estimating software experience is expected, with Primavera P6 knowledge desired.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected annual salary range is $90,000-$115,000, depending on experience.
