Project Engineer

Job Summary

Rudolph & Sletten is hiring a Project Engineer for its San Diego office to support project managers and superintendents with construction planning, coordination, documentation, and field monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change documentation, project logs, and closeout records.
• Review drawings and contract requirements, resolve design conflicts, and track material deliveries and expediting.
• Visit jobsites, observe work, document job-walk findings, and coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and design representatives.
• Prepare meeting minutes, status reports, punch lists, as-built drawings, quantity takeoffs, and other project records.
• Use Procore to generate queries and reports, and contribute to value engineering and construction problem-solving.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least one year of field or related experience.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; blueprint-reading knowledge required.
• Scheduling and estimating software knowledge; Primavera P6 experience desired. Procore or similar software experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $90,000–$97,500, depending on experience.
