Project Engineer II - Heavy Industrial - Traveling

Job Summary

Support delivery of heavy industrial construction projects by managing technical documentation, procurement coordination, cost controls, and project records. The role also involves working with project stakeholders and may include guiding or training Field Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement schedules, materials, equipment, and submittals with project schedules and contract requirements.
• Review project documents, administer assigned contract and cost-control processes, and maintain as-built records and closeout materials.
• Prepare project reports, meeting records, logs, change orders, and budget adjustments; track potential claims and help resolve project impacts.
• Support quantity takeoffs and, as needed, concrete form design and equipment selection.
• Coordinate project team resources and communicate with owners, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff.

Required Experience

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training and relevant experience.
• Three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage varied disciplines and supervise or train Field Engineers when required.
