Project Engineering Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Memphis. This full-time role manages multidisciplinary teams, technical execution, and client coordination across complex treatment and conveyance programs.

Project Details

The position supports traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative delivery work, including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, water treatment plant upgrades, wastewater treatment plant expansions, and carbon-neutral solutions.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering execution for multiple or complex projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineers and technicians while coordinating cross-discipline deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, quality requirements, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and project management on changes, concerns, technical solutions, and project correspondence.
• Support business development pursuits and provide technical input on water and wastewater treatment work.
• Review engineering assignments and mentor, supervise, and manage the performance of assigned staff.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• At least five years of related professional experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure is preferred.
• Engineering consulting experience and work on multidisciplinary water treatment or wastewater treatment upgrades and expansions are preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites and complete applicable pre-employment screening.
