Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to direct moderately complex commercial construction projects or major portions of larger projects. The role manages project operations, administration, coordination, schedule, budget, safety, and closeout while supporting the company’s values and injury-free culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction activities, including scope development, estimating support, bid packages, trade coordination, and procurement.
  • Manage buyout, subcontractor risk review, submittals, change requests, pay applications, project documentation, and closeout.
  • Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal company resources.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, labor and material logs, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reporting.
  • Identify project risks and schedule impacts, develop mitigation plans, and document decisions affecting cost, schedule, quality, legal matters, and safety.
  • Lead project reviews, progress meetings, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
  • Promote the company’s safety culture, investigate incidents, and support corrective training.
  • Manage multiple or moderately complex projects and cultivate relationships with clients, industry partners, and community stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least 7 years of construction management experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, budgeting, scheduling, project accounting, and Lean practices.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software, plus intermediate MS Office and presentation skills.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work at project sites or in an office, including exposure to variable weather and physical activities.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a professional non-union position with a company benefits package. The role may require travel or relocation and flexibility to work non-traditional hours as project needs require.
