Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater work from its Texas operations. The role combines client leadership, project delivery, business development, and team management for municipal infrastructure programs.

Project Details

Projects support municipalities and public agencies across water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, linear infrastructure planning and design, and asset management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients and community stakeholders.
• Lead marketing, pursuit strategy, proposals, presentations, budgeting, and contracting efforts.
• Oversee engineering managers and project teams while establishing performance goals and ensuring effective execution.
• Manage project financial and commercial activities, including budgets, invoicing, payments, and performance reviews.
• Coach and develop staff and help expand the local technical team.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of program or project management and related technical experience preferred.
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure, planning, design, and asset management.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Ability to travel to client sites and work effectively with collaboration and conferencing tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The position is full-time and may offer hybrid or flexible work arrangements after the first 90 days, subject to management discretion.
