Project Details

The position supports substation and power-grid infrastructure construction in a demanding outdoor construction environment, including work around energized or hazardous equipment, uneven terrain, scaffolds, ladders, and variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor construction progress, productivity, installed quantities, costs, and compliance with the critical path schedule.
  • Lead foreman meetings and coordinate daily, weekly, and three-week work plans across disciplines.
  • Confirm that required labor, materials, equipment, and other resources are available for planned work.
  • Resolve field issues involving drawings, quality, schedule, quantities, safety, and subcontractor performance.
  • Maintain daily site records and review timesheets, progress reports, payment requests, and supplier representative logs.
  • Oversee work packages, equipment installation, punch-list completion, and job hazard analyses.
  • Identify corrective actions, potential back charges, and out-of-scope work, and support commercial recovery.
  • Provide work direction, training, development, and performance oversight for foremen, general foremen, and minor subcontractor supervision.

Required Experience

  • At least one year of experience on similar projects in an assistant supervisor role or comparable experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; engineering or construction management education is a plus.
  • Construction safety awareness, supervisory, communication, project management, problem-solving, scheduling, and risk-management skills.
  • OSHA 10-hour training is preferred, along with superintendent training for reporting safety, cost, quality, and schedule information.
  • OSHA 40-hour training is listed as preferred certification training.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at height, climb ladders and scaffolds, and perform physical work in confined or uneven areas.

Compensation and Benefits

The employee-owned company offers medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness, paid vacation and holidays, sick time, a company-matched 401(k), tuition and adoption reimbursement, employee discounts, and other voluntary benefits. Professionals may also be eligible for a performance-based bonus and participate in the company's ESOP.
