Project Superintendent

Job Summary

The Christman Company is hiring a Project Superintendent to oversee commercial construction site operations, coordinate trade contractors, and support safe, high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review construction documents for constructability, phasing, logistics, and field conditions.
• Set and reinforce jobsite safety and quality expectations, including site orientations and hazard discussions.
• Coordinate site logistics, trade contractor work, project schedules, inspections, permits, and overlapping activities.
• Monitor progress, maintain daily reports and punch lists, and adjust construction plans as needed.
• Work with the Project Manager, clients, and trade contractors to resolve issues and maintain project goals.
• Support team development through mentoring, learning opportunities, and constructive feedback.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of commercial construction leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
• Training or coursework in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
• Strong scheduling, cost control, communication, problem-solving, and subcontractor leadership skills.
• Basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, and BIM, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 30-Hour and First Aid/CPR are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position. Extended hours and weekends may be required. The role is primarily site-based and may require local, long-distance, and overnight travel depending on the project.
