Project Superintendent

Job Summary

Christman Southeast Constructors is seeking a Project Superintendent to coordinate site operations and guide construction work in the Knoxville region.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction documents and coordinate work to meet contract requirements, quality expectations, and project milestones.
• Lead site safety practices, inspections, training, and hazard correction in coordination with the safety team.
• Plan site logistics, trade sequencing, and coordination of overlapping work.
• Work with the project manager, client, and trade contractors on project work plans and progress.
• Review and authorize trade contractor and employee timesheets, including time-and-material work.
• Authorize approved or emergency requisitions for materials, equipment, and labor.

Required Experience

• At least seven years of construction or related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to read blueprints, contract drawings, and specifications; plan effectively; communicate clearly; and help drive a project schedule.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and job cost accounting practices.
• Construction management, project management, safety, and communications training is expected.
• A relevant bachelor's degree, two years of supervisory experience, and OSHA 30-hour training are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time position. Extended hours and weekends may apply. Most travel is local, with some long-distance and overnight travel depending on the project.
