Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

Rudolph & Sletten is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for its Menlo Park office. The role supports project management and field leadership with coordinating, tracking, and documenting construction activities.

The company delivers large projects across California, including healthcare, higher education, civic, science and technology, and corporate campus work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, design teams, meetings, submittals, and project documentation.
• Review drawings and shop submittals, resolve design conflicts, and prepare and track RFIs and potential change orders.
• Monitor field progress, subcontractor work, schedule risks, and construction quality through site visits and job walks.
• Support project closeout, including punch lists, completion records, warranties, document turnover, and archiving.
• Maintain document-control processes, project logs, metrics, and reports; assist with project setup and team training.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least five years of relevant experience.
• Experience on large commercial projects is desired, including healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, or science and technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills, and Bluebeam; familiarity with data-mining platforms is noted.
• Working knowledge of Procore or similar construction software, blueprint reading, surveying, scheduling, and estimating; proficiency with Primavera P6.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $112,000-$145,000, depending on experience.
