Senior Project Manager (Traveling)

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a traveling Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects, manage project teams, and deliver work safely, within budget, and to quality standards.

Project Details

The role will support the Mission Critical team for the first six months before moving to a Commercial project. Project locations have not yet been determined, and national travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams and coordinate schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.
• Manage contracts, procurement, change orders, project reporting, forecasts, and financial risks.
• Oversee quality controls, project safety planning, preconstruction, buyout, and constructability reviews.
• Identify project risks and value-engineering opportunities, and mentor team members.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role.
• Commercial general contractor experience is required.
• An industry-related college degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams is expected. Procore, Bluebeam, and P6 experience is a plus.
• Must be willing to travel nationally based on business and project needs.
