Project Engineer

Job Summary

The Project Engineer supports projects from preconstruction through closeout, tracks schedule and budget issues, and reports to the Project Manager. The role may also supervise site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction documents, drawings, project logs, and delivery tracking.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, inspections, compliance audits, and non-conformance records.
• Prepare subcontract scopes, gather pricing for change requests, and draft change orders within assigned authority.
• Use virtual design tools for project coordination and support project closeout, punch lists, as-built drawings, and warranty work.
• Travel or relocate for work assignments as company needs require.

Required Experience

• Industry-related degree required.
• Two or more years of construction project management experience preferred.
• Industrial construction experience preferred; LEAN principles experience desirable.
• OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain it after hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, with ability to learn job-specific software.
• Strong initiative, problem-solving, communication, organization, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
