Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction, startup, commissioning, and turnover for conventional power generation projects in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The role serves as the primary site representative and coordinates field execution across internal teams, craft labor, subcontractors, suppliers, startup personnel, and the owner.

Project Details

The work includes simple-cycle and combined-cycle power projects, with responsibility spanning mobilization, equipment erection, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site management team and oversee direct-hire craft labor, subcontractors, suppliers, startup activities, and owner coordination.
  • Maintain the Construction Execution Plan and direct construction management, project controls, materials management, quality, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor budget, schedule, quality, construction and startup costs, and project risks; take corrective action when needed.
  • Support commissioning readiness, change orders, contractor payments, back-charge resolution, and contract closeout.
  • Establish site staffing needs, mentor personnel, conduct contractor meetings, and promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Implement site-specific procedures and champion Lean construction practices.

Required Experience

  • Preferred background includes 10 or more years in conventional power generation construction and at least 3 years as a Site Manager.
  • Minimum qualifications include 5 or more years in construction management on similar projects with a bachelor's degree, or 8 or more years with 3 years at superintendent level or above without a degree.
  • Self-perform or direct-hire experience on simple-cycle or combined-cycle projects is strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification is required.
  • Ability to complete applicable background, drug-screen, and motor-vehicle-record checks.

Compensation and Benefits
