Structural Superintendent

Job Summary

TPZP, a Tutor Perini joint venture, is hiring a Structural Superintendent to lead field execution for California High-Speed Rail Construction Package 1 in Fresno.

Project Details

The 32-mile Central Valley rail package includes grade separations, viaducts, a tunnel, track and utility relocations, trenches, and a San Joaquin River crossing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe construction in line with design, budget, schedule, contract requirements, and the site safety plan.
• Plan and coordinate on-site work, including scheduling, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, and support project procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate with owner representatives and support project management.

Required Experience

• 15 or more years of construction experience, including at least 10 years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects.
• Superintendent experience on projects valued above $200 million and on bridge, highway, or transit projects.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction practices, contract management, and local trades and craft workforce.
• Experience with government clients preferred; proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar software.
• OSHA certification and First Aid certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $225,000–$275,000, depending on experience.
