Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to direct field operations and coordinate project teams, trade contractors, and suppliers. Assignments generally cover projects under $75 million or defined scopes within larger, complex projects.

Project Details

AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets. Project assignments may include defined components of larger projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, safety, schedule, productivity, quality, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, production reporting, materials, equipment, inspections, and quality controls.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, project managers, and preconstruction teams.
• Support constructability reviews, project planning, procurement, closeout, and business development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Construction management software proficiency, such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Experience advancing safety initiatives and compliance; current or attainable OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; forklift certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600–$192,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a health savings account, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
