Job Summary

Rudolph & Sletten is hiring a Superintendent for its Los Angeles or Irvine office to oversee field delivery on medium- to large-scale construction projects, with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction.

The company’s California portfolio includes healthcare, research, education, civic, and high-tech projects. Relevant project experience includes large commercial work such as healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, and science and technology.

Responsibilities

• Direct jobsite operations, field personnel, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and mobilization.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, including short-term look-ahead plans, and report schedule, labor, and cost impacts.
• Lead jobsite safety planning, training, meetings, audits, incident procedures, and hazard correction.
• Manage field quality control, QA/QC documentation, inspections, mock-ups, and completed-work acceptance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, project staff, owners, architects, and building trades; lead coordination and schedule meetings.
• Oversee daily reports, labor tracking, purchasing, permits, inspections, site security, and jobsite documentation.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of field or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is desired. Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors; experience across construction disciplines is preferred.
• Large commercial project experience is desired, including healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, or science and technology work.
• Intermediate MS Office proficiency, particularly Excel; Procore experience is preferred. Primavera P6 and scheduling, estimating, and cost fundamentals are desired.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $130,000-$170,000, depending on experience.
