Superintendent

Job Summary

Rudolph & Sletten is seeking a San Diego Superintendent to coordinate field operations on medium- to large-scale construction projects, with responsibility for safe, high-quality delivery and effective use of labor and materials.

The company works on commercial projects, including healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, and science and technology facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite safety planning, training, inspections, incident procedures, and subcontractor compliance.
• Manage quality control, QA/QC documentation, inspections, mock-ups, and punch-list completion.
• Develop and maintain project and look-ahead schedules, coordinate trades, and communicate progress and impacts to project leadership.
• Direct field personnel and subcontractors, oversee mobilization and jobsite security, and coordinate permits, inspections, and special inspections.
• Manage daily reports, labor tracking, requisitions, equipment, and cost-control documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, project teams, subcontractors, and building trades.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of field or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is desired, with relevant experience considered.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors; experience across construction disciplines is preferred.
• Large commercial project experience is desired, particularly in healthcare, higher education, corporate campuses, justice, or science and technology.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; Procore experience is preferred. Primavera P6 and scheduling, estimating, and cost knowledge are desired.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $130,000-$170,000, depending on experience.
