Superintendent II

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction seeks a Superintendent II to lead field execution and coordinate with the Project Manager, owner, design team, trades, and suppliers. The role emphasizes safe, productive, high-quality project delivery.

Project Details

Assignments are generally projects valued below $75 million or designated portions of larger, complex projects. The company works across commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, trade coordination, safety, schedule, quality, productivity, and project reporting.
• Maintain project drawings, procure resources, lead toolbox talks, and coordinate inspections.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Build productive working relationships with owners, design teams, trade contractors, and suppliers.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project closeout.
• Contribute to client development, proposals, marketing, and industry engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Construction management software proficiency, including tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated safety leadership and operational execution.
• Current OSHA 30 or ability to obtain it, along with required company safety training.
• Ability to travel to project sites, accept long-term out-of-town assignments, work in varied climates, and meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600-$192,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off and holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
