Traveling Project Manager, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to direct project operations and administration for advanced industrial construction assignments nationwide. The role partners with the Project Superintendent and project stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality work while supporting schedule, budget, and client objectives.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects. Assignments are located across the country and may involve project-site and office work.

Responsibilities

• Lead project safety practices, incident follow-up, and staff mentoring.
• Manage preconstruction activities, procurement, bid packages, subcontractor buyout, submittals, and project risk.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee change management, meetings, pay applications, project documentation, reporting, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reporting with the Superintendent.
• Apply Lean practices and identify mitigation plans for schedule, manpower, weather, scope, and procurement impacts.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least five years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, budgeting, scheduling, and project accounting.
• Advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
