Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support project leadership with field coordination, budgets, contracts, schedules, and trade partners.

Project Details

Assignments generally involve projects valued below $5 million or a component of a larger, complex project. The company works across commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and monitor schedules, coordinate closeout, review project documentation, and track procurement and changes.
• Support cost, budget, cash-flow, payment application, and quality control processes.
• Coordinate with project teams, trade contractors, suppliers, owners, and design teams, including preparing meeting minutes and punch lists.
• Review plans for constructability, participate in estimating and risk assessments, and prepare scopes of work.
• Contribute to project safety and uphold the company’s Incident and Injury Free culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering plus 2+ years of related project management experience; or an associate degree in construction management plus 4+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of shop drawing submittals, building plans and specifications, and safety standards.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, P6, Bluebeam, and Prolog.
• OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions and travel to project sites up to 70+ miles away.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary is $78,000-$124,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
